The Dogs of Peakview

Our Advisory Board

With 20+ years of cumulative experience, the pets of Peakview play an integral role in ensuring the firm’s investment banking team maintains a healthy work-life balance and sense of humor. Be sure to take our quiz below and see if you can guess which of us belong to which dog.

Odie

Odie, a 6-year old Bichon Frise, brings several years of experience to his role as Chief Relaxation Officer. He has an uncanny ability to sense when someone has lay prone on a couch, and will optimize their nap in close snuggling proximity. Odie has an advanced degree in Table Scrap Begging, and has perfected the “I’m starving” expression, even immediately after cleaning his bowl. In his free time, Odie enjoys long sniff-filled walks, pilfering stuffed animals from the kids’ rooms, and increasing his napping endurance. He may not have any Westminster awards, but Odie’s family thinks he is “best in show”!

Coconut

Coconut, a 1.5-year old Goldendoodle, is the Director of Accounts Retrievable. She lives by the motto “Work Hard, Play Hard, Rest Hard” and can follow up an intense training session with a long game of fetch, followed by a nap on just about any surface. Coconut has an impressive energy level, as shown by her daily “zoomies” that take place when you least expect them. Though friendly and lovable once she gets to know you, Coconut takes pride in showing off skills necessary for her dream job of Chief Security Officer.

Ruxin

Ruxin, Managing Director of Friendships, is responsible for networking, relationship building and making sure everyone is happy. With over 5 years of experience, Ruxin is an expert at meeting people and animals of all shapes, sizes and temperaments and is known to get even the grumpiest of people to smile or the barkiest of terriers to wag their tails. Ruxin has a sixth sense for when someone is sad and is quick to lend a snuggle or sloppy kiss. He is also skilled at identifying strangers, mail carriers and vacuum cleaners. He is proud of his ability to recognize pending danger and takes his response very seriously with a booming bark. When he’s not making friends, keeping watch for suspicious activity or doing his daily rounds of the neighborhood, Ruxin enjoys a good nap and hanging with his two favorite toddlers.

Sammy

Sammy is 3½ years old and a 7-pound undersized Havanese boy, who may or may not be a purebreed (we may have been tricked!). He is Director of Social Affairs and Public Relations and has perfected an exuberant full-body wiggle, and direct eye contact to charm clients and friends. His amicable demeanor wins over everyone, especially the ladies, on his walks in the Peakview neighborhood of Cherry Creek. Sammy holds advanced degrees in Friendliness and Charm, and is known for setting people at ease. He has a bit of a “Napoleon Complex”, but absolutely loves his time with dogs of any shape and size. When not guarding the front door from his favorite sofa, you can find him frolicking in the backyard with his canine friends Paco, Oliver, Wally, Bear and Smokey.

Tootsie

Tootsie, Esq., brings 12 years of experience to her role as Chief Distraction Officer (“CDO”). She can be found peering over a laptop screen to check for typos, stealing dress socks, and insisting on her much-needed union breaks. Tootsie ensures the Peakview Partners practice work-life balance by demanding that someone take her on walks every two hours between meetings and conference calls, and requiring immediate lap-sitting snuggles once a new Zoom meeting has begun. As CDO, some may view her computer work as disruptive, but she is actually a skilled IT specialist knowing that licking your hand will effectively fix all computer issues (or at least make you feel better). Upon closing all complex M&A deals, Tootsie coordinates champagne and celebratory dog bones for all.
